What is braided sleeving?
Braided sleeving is protective sleeving braided from plastic monofilaments. It is used to protect and bundle cables and strands and, thanks to its wide range of applications, can be used very flexibly.
By compressing the material, the diameter increases and the cables to be protected can be inserted. As soon as the pressure on the braided sleeving is released, the diameter decreases and the braided sleeving fits ideally, bundling and protecting the cables.
By using coloured braided sleeving, the cable bundles can be marked at the same time.
Where is braided sleeving used?
Braided sleeving made of PA 6.6, PET or PP is used in many different industries such as automotive, power engineering or aerospace. It serves to bundle cables and to mechanically protect components.
How is braided sleeving cut?
To prevent the sleeve ends from fraying, braided sleeving is thermally cut to length. For this we recommend using the HSG-00 hot knife. Note that the braided sleeving shortens when expanded.
For the series production of cable harnesses, we also offer braided sleeving ready cut. Benefit from tight length tolerances and high precision.
Here you will find all our braided sleeving.
