PUR insulating tubing: applications & advantages

Polyurethane (PUR) is a thermoplastic polymer with excellent properties such as elasticity, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and weather resistance. PUR insulating tubing is used in a wide range of applications, from aerospace to medical technology.

One advantage of polyurethane tubing is its flexibility and stretchability. It can easily be bent and twisted without tearing or breaking. This makes it ideal for applications where mobility and flexibility are required, such as in pneumatics, hydraulics and robotics.

Another advantage of PUR tubing is its abrasion resistance. It is able to withstand the wear and friction that often occurs in industrial applications.

Polyurethane tubing can also be used in environments with high operating temperatures of up to +125 °C without its properties being impaired. In addition, it is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, bases and solvents.

In summary, polyurethane tubing offers an excellent combination of flexibility, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and weather resistance. These properties make it ideal for many applications, from industry to medical technology.
