BIT Bierther GmbH announces that the transparent PTFE heat-shrink tubing with a shrink ratio of 4:1 can be offered as bar stock in the sizes 3 inches (76.2 mm) and 4 inches (101.6 mm). This addition to the product portfolio expands the options for customers looking for temperature-resistant and versatile heat-shrink tubing in large dimensions.

PTFE heat-shrink tubing is known for its excellent properties. It offers high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and electrical insulation. With its transparent design, it also allows a clear view of the area underneath, which can be advantageous in various applications.

The 4:1 shrink ratio means that the tubing shrinks to a quarter of its original diameter. This enables a tight and secure covering of components of different sizes and shapes. By applying heat, the tubing shrinks around the object and forms a water- and dust-tight barrier that protects against external influences.

The PTFE heat-shrink tubing bar stock in the sizes 3″ and 4″ is offered in lengths of 1.22 metres (approx. 4 feet).
