Maximum resistance: aramid braided sleeving for extreme industrial requirements
5 February 2026

Modern industrial technology calls for materials that carry on where standard solutions fail. Our aramid braided sleeving combines extreme thermal resilience with top mechanical performance. Whether as highly stable cable protection or as a specialised roller cover – discover why aramid is the first choice for demanding environments.
What makes aramid braided sleeving so special?
Aramid is a synthetic high-performance fibre known for its exceptional impact resistance and tensile strength. However, an aramid sleeve is more than just a protective cover; it is a technically precise component that guarantees safety under extreme conditions.
The most important characteristics at a glance:
- Extreme heat resistance: the material is self-extinguishing, does not melt and only begins to char at approx. +400 °C.
- Mechanical power: high elongation at break and enormous strength with minimal weight.
- Chemical & thermal stability: ideal for use in high-temperature areas where dimensional stability and tear resistance are critical.
Flexibility through intelligent braiding technology
A decisive technical advantage of our sleeving is its construction. Thanks to a variable braid angle (between 30° and 60°), the sleeve can be precisely adapted to different diameters and technical requirements. This makes it extremely adaptable for complex geometries.
For applications that require minimal elongation in length, we offer the option of braiding in standing fibres. These provide additional longitudinal reinforcement and massively increase dimensional stability under tensile load.
Versatile applications in industry
Thanks to the combination of lightness and extreme robustness, our aramid braided sleeving is used in a wide variety of industries:
- Glass industry: as a heat-resistant roller cover, the material protects sensitive surfaces at extreme temperatures during the production process.
- Electrical engineering & automotive: reliable cable protection in zones with high thermal stress or mechanical abrasion.
- Lightweight construction & fibre composites: use as a reinforcing element in high-end components, for example in aviation or motor racing.
- Mechanical engineering: wherever safety against fire and mechanical impact must go hand in hand.
