What is antistatic PTFE tubing?

PTFE tubing is known for its excellent insulation properties. In some applications, however, static charge can become a problem.

BIT therefore offers antistatic PTFE tubing with higher conductivity. This property is achieved by filling the fluoropolymer with a certain amount of a conductive filler such as carbon black.

BIT antistatic PTFE tubing is produced from PTFE and a proportion of high-purity carbon black. It meets the requirements of EN 12115.
